Two Gallon Alcohol Reservoir for 2004 - Older Mustangs
Alternative Auto has developed a true 2 gallon reservoir to fit directly in place of the stock windshield fluid reservoir for all 2004 and older Mustangs.

Because of the popularity of the Alcohol injection kits, especially on ’04 and older Mustangs, we decided that the stock windshield bottle is OK but is limited to only about 1/2 of a gallon. And because of its kidney like shape could potentially have a starvation problem in a high end application if the bottle wasn't kept topped-off when racing the car.

In more elaborate applications on ’04 and older cars and also the new ’05 Mustang – we would relocate the battery to the truck and mount a Vortech 2 gallon reservoir (originally designed as a intercooler reservoir) where the battery used to go. This worked very well but incurred the extra cost and inconvenience of putting the battery in the truck or hatch area.

The new inner fender mounted 2-gallon reservoir we now offer is a great solution for not only the Alky guy but potentially other applications as well. It very neatly goes where the stock windshield bottle once went, it uses the stock bottle mounting provisions and it puts the filler neck under the hood area where the stock windshield bottle filler once was.

Alternative Auto will start to ship these reservoirs in the spring of 2007 and we project that they will retail around $300.00. They are made out of stainless steel so they will be compatible with Alcohol / Methanol and other fuels as well.
